This story began last year while we were cleaning one of the hot springs.

“Would you take over our inn?”
“Sure.”

That simple exchange was how everything began.

Afterwards, the former owner shared with us the history of the inn, the values they had carefully preserved, and the passion they had devoted to it over the years. Listening to their story inspired us to carry that legacy forward.

Over the past six months, with the support of many people, we have worked steadily to prepare for this day, and we are grateful to finally begin this new chapter.

There are several reasons why we decided to take over this ryokan:

• To contribute to the growth of Japan’s tourism industry.
• To share the beauty of Japan’s hot spring culture with people from around the world.
• To introduce the charm of rural life to those living in cities.
• To help preserve the lodging industry, which plays an important role in supporting local communities.

Originally, I was simply a backpacker who loved traveling. Every time I visited a new place, I realized how much travel could enrich my life through new experiences and perspectives.

Even as we continue to operate more inns in the future, I hope never to lose the mindset I had as a backpacker. My goal is to create a ryokan that leaves lasting memories for every guest who stays with us.

At our company meeting in July 2026, we also shared our vision for the future: to keep the lights of traditional inns shining, helping preserve Japan’s hot spring culture and natural environment for generations to come.

Approximately 10 minutes by Nagaden Bus from Yudanaka Station. Get off at Wagobashi Bus Stop and walk about 5 minutes.

Parking
There is no private parking at the ryokan. Please use the public Shibu Onsen Yumeguri Parking (¥1,000 per 24 hours).
