At Shibu Onsen spa, which has a 1,300-year history,
the original Koishiya Ryokan was built according to elaborate plans by craftsmen in the early Showa Period (1926–1989).
Regrettably, it eventually closed. However, in August 2015, it was brought back to life to pass on its wonderful legacy to future generations.
Koishiya Ryokan has been reborn with a mixture of the old and new.
The Japanese-style guest rooms retain their original charm, while the ryokan has been revamped to suit today’s travel style.
It is now a pleasant and low-cost inn.
We also have a café and bar for guests and non-guests.
Breakfast is our excellent coffee and sandwiches. For dinner, enjoy wine produced in Nagano, appetizers, meat dishes, pasta, and more.
The Japanese-style rooms have exquisite wooden transoms and other intricate detail made by highly skilled craftsmen in the early Showa Period.
To make it easy and affordable, we have simplified our services.
